Absolutely, Positively, ME!

Its not hard to get my attention, but its even harder to keep my attention… love me or leave me, but don’t expect me to be one in a million. It is interesting what some people expect me to be or do…but some things end before they even start. Sometimes a dream becomes so real that you almost think as if it were true, but when you open your eyes, you realize that it was just an illusion…nothing more and nothing less. No, I am not all that. I am not perfect either, but I know what I want, what I can do for myself and for others, and what I expect from life… Do you?!?!
Its not hard to have someone’s body, but it is even harder to have that persons mind and be a part of that persons soul… to be honest there have not been very many people in my life that have had my mind, and those who did have it didn’t appreciate it. Its not hard to realize your worth and decide no more settling for less.  So if it takes you forever to find that person  to capture your mind and soul…SO BE IT. Don't be in a rush…

Just my scribbles

As I have come to realize these past few weeks, life is in many ways unpredictable, and that can be one of its greatest blessings, yet at the same time, one of its most unpleasant surprises. Imagine how tedious and monotonous life would be if it were completely predictable. The surprises in life keep us from becoming too satisfied. They keep us from becoming so comfortable that we don't go out and experience what life really has to offer.  Life’s unpredictable side continually presents us with new possibilities and opportunities for growth.

If you knew exactly what was going to happen today, and tomorrow, and the next day and next, it would soon grow quite tiresome--boring! Thankfully, life is new and different from day to day, from moment to moment.

Yes, some of those unpredictable surprises will be unpleasant, as I have personally experienced these past few weeks. Some of them will present great difficulties and challenges. Sometimes it can be tempting to wish that things would always stay the same. Yet such a life would offer few, if any, possibilities for joy and fulfillment.

Think not of how difficult it is to adapt to the new, the unpredictable, the changing conditions which are indeed a fact of life. Think instead of how truly blessed you are to be able to adapt, to learn, to grow, and to experience the newness and uniqueness of each and every day.

Value what’s important…
You can achieve wealth, fame and power, but if there is no love in your hearts, it all means very little. Your life can be filled with excitement and drama, but if it is not a life of integrity then it ends up getting you no where.
The fleeting, superficial things that the world makes out to be so terribly important are not that important after all. The things that truly matter ate the things that are too often ignored.
Do those things over which you worry, fight and argue really mean much? The things that truly matter are the things that you cannot lose. No person or circumstance can take away your love, your faith, your integrity, passion, determination or wisdom. It pays to keep that in mind as you go through each day.
For when you value and make use of what’s truly important, all other things are surely within your reach.

Let us unite…be one…encourage elevation, let us become a collective voice…

Each New Dawn Brings A Choice

With each dawn we are given the priceless gift of a new day, and new choices. We can choose to embrace light, love and joy or we can choose to give into darkness, hate, fear, sorrow and things that destroy our lives. We are the builders of our lives, one brick (one day) at a time. Not only are we building our own house, we are influencing the construction of others’ buildings for we have the power to edify or destroy our lives and others.  Everything we write has the power to promote peace and healing or hate and destruction. The choice is ours and the results are sure. Words are as alive as the people who pen them and much more far-reaching than the writers personal presence will ever be. We have a choice to make each day, darkness or light, love or hate, and the choice we make comes out of our soul, then enters back into it where it bears either sweet or bitter fruit in our lives. Free choice is a precious and powerful gift, beware how you use it.
